Lipid peroxidation, measured as MDA + 4-HDA level, in porcine thyroid homogenates. Homogenates were incubated in the presence of KIO₃ [200; 150; 100; 50; 25; 10; 5.0; 2.5; 1.0; 0.5; 0.25; 0.1; 0.05; 0.025; 0.01; 0.005; 0.0025; 0.001; 0.0005; 0.00025; 0.0001; 0.00005 mM] and, additionally, in the presence of both Fenton reaction substrates, namely in the presence of FeSO₄ [30 μM] plus H₂O₂ [0.5 mM].
